Fair PharmaCare helps B.C. families pay for many prescription drugs, dispensing fees and some medical devices and supplies. The plan is based on income. The less a family earns, the more help they get. See if youre already registered.
The Medical Services Plan (MSP) and PharmaCare cover all eligible residents of B.C. MSP provides basic healthcare services, while PharmaCare offers prescription drug coverage. Residents must be enrolled in MSP to access PharmaCare.
Households earning up to $30,000 per year in net income no longer have a deductible. The deductible is reduced for families earning from $30,000 to $41,667 net income annually. Family maximums are eliminated or reduced for families earning up to $45,000. See the Table of Adjustments to Deductibles and Family Maximums.
PharmaCare coverage is processed at the pharmacy counter when you get your prescription dispensed. If you or your medication is covered by a 100% coverage plan, such as Plan Z, Plan G, Plan C or Plan W, or you have met your Fair PharmaCare family maximum, you should not pay for your prescription or the dispense.
