If your parents joint earnings are more than $69,935.32 a year before tax, the rate you get for Student Allowance goes down. You cant get a Student Allowance if their joint earnings while you study are more than: $127,701.81 if you live with them.
You can receive the Pell Grant for no more than 12 terms or the equivalent (roughly six years). This is called the Federal Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU). Youll receive a notice if youre getting close to your limit. If you have any questions, contact your schools financial aid office.
You can get up to $323.43 a week for living costs but you dont have to borrow the full amount. When you apply for living costs you can choose to get the Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustment on 1 April each year.
