When sending dangerous goods, the sender must complete a form known as the dangerous goods shipper's declaration (DGD). It certifies that the shipment has been labeled, packed and declared according to IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
Prime contractors who are responsible for transporting dangerous goods must ensure the driver has been given a transport document for each consignment of dangerous goods. If the vehicle is transporting a placard load, transport documents must be carried in the emergency information holder.
