Minors age 14 and 15 years old combined hours of school and work cannot exceed 48 hours in a workweek. 14- and 15-year-olds may not work before 7:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. Minors 16 and 17 years old may work 24 hours per week when school is in session and 48 hours per week when school is not in session.
16 and 17-year-old minors enrolled in school may not work for more than nine hours in any one day, 40 hours in a school week, 48 hours in a non-school week, and six days in any one week.
Minors under the age of 18 are required to have a work permit prior to starting work.
As a general rule, the FLSA sets 14 years old as the minimum age for employment, and limits the number of hours worked by minors under the age of 16.

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not allow minors 14/15 to work past 9:00 pm. Minors 16/17 may not work before 6 am or past 11:30 when school is not in session. Minors require adult supervision, age 18 and older at all times.
