Educational Opportunity Fund Admission into EOF is conducted by the participating institution and not by the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education. EOF admission status inquiries must be directed to the participating institution. Every student who wants to apply for the EOF grant must file a FAFSA.
Must demonstrate an educationally and economically disadvantaged background. Must be a New Jersey resident 12 consecutive months prior to receiving the award. Must apply and be accepted to a participating New Jersey college or university. Must meet the academic criteria as set by the institution of choice.
State grant awards. NJ EOF Grant of $1,550 per year for residential students ($1,300 per year for commuters) a $3,500 federal subsidized student loan. an EOF Scholarship of up to $5,000 per year (for up to 4 years; a total award of up to $20,000)
