For 12 to 18-year-olds, young people can join as a Sea Cadet and work their way up through the training programme. When cadets turn 18, they can either leave the Corps or they can stay and train as staff.
How much are sea cadet fees?

Are Sea Cadets considered military?
While our cadets gain an appreciation for the sea services and military life, there is no requirement to join the military. Many former cadets enlist, and dozens attend service academies or ROTC. Cadets who complete our recruit training are well prepared for the rigors of boot camp or officer indoctrination.
How are the Sea Cadets funded?
The Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) is a charity that provides activities for young people on the water. It is supported by the Royal Navy, which provides around half of its funding. The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) is a programme based in secondary schools programme combining one or more elements of each service.
How much are marine cadets?
The full cost of running our five-day at-sea training programme is 1,450 per cadet, per week. Participants are usually asked for a contribution of 430.
What is the difference between an air cadet and a sea cadet?
Sea cadets learn seamanship skills, including navigation and how to sail. Army cadets participate in outdoor expeditions, trekking, orienteering, and abseiling. Air cadets focus on aviation-related activities including flying, gliding, and studies in aerospace.
Do you have to pay for a sea cadet uniform?
Do I have to pay for my uniform? Most of the uniform is provided by the charity and will be issued to you on joining. Cadets have to purchase their own boots and Junior Cadets have to buy a Sea Cadets jumper and t-shirt. When joining speak to the units Commanding Officer to find our what youll need.
