Is community theatre hard to get into?

Community Theatre is almost entirely volunteer and if you are willing to give some of your time, most places will welcome you with open arms. That said, go to some shows at places near you which you are interested in helping. Talk to the cast and crew and see if they would be a fit for you.

Depending on your town or city, it could feel competitive from people to get roles, but if thats the case, I would find another theatre. Just come in ready and willing to be a background character, and have fun!!
