Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) must earn 30 CE credits, including 4 defined as live, before their two-year cycle expires to renew their credential. Certified Surgical First Assistants (CSFA) must earn 38 CE credits, including 8 defined as live, before their two-year cycle expires to renew their credential.

How many CEUs do you need for CST?

CSTs completing a 2-year cycle must earn 30 credits, which include 4 live CE credits. Those still completing a 4-year cycle must earn 60 credits for renewal. All CE credits must be earned through AST-approved sources. CSTs may also renew their credential through testing instead of submitting CE credits to the AST.

What are the CE requirements for Nbstsa?

Required Live CE For those in the new two-year cycle, CSTs are required to earn a total of 30 CE credits including 4 CE credits earned in Live CE settings and CSFAs are required to earn 38 CE credits including 8 earned in Live CE settings.
