To prove that you and your ex-partner are living separately under the same roof, you can use a Services Australia separated under one roof form (SS293). This form is used to inform Centrelink that you are living separately with your ex-partner for payment or child support purposes.
It may be for a few days, weeks, months or years following separation. If you and your spouse lived in the same home during part or all of the required 12 months separation period, you need to provide extra information to the Court. You need this information before you can apply for a divorce.
An affidavit is your evidence put in a written statement which explains that you and your spouse have been living separately under the same roof. It must explain what the relationship was like before the separation date and how it changed after your separation date.
