Most ferries have either lifts from the car decks or passenger ramps suitable for wheelchair users. Space on the car deck may be limited close to the lifts at busy periods. If a passenger needs to use the lift they can let operators know at the time of booking and their vehicle will be loaded in the lift lane.
The card allow eligible BC residents with a permanent disabilityand one personal attendant 12 years and older, if required to receive a 50% discount on passenger fares.
If a BC Resident Senior is travelling on a Monday-Thursday they qualify for free ferry travel (exception: Specific Holidays are not included in this offer and will be charged a ferry fare). BC Resident Seniors travelling on Fridays-Sundays and specific holidays will be charged the regular Adult Ferry Fare.
We offer 50% off the passenger fare for BC residents who have a permanent disability. If you are 12 years or older, you should book the BC person with disability 12+ fare type in the BC Residents Assistance Program passenger details section. Must have an Accessible Fare Identification (AFI) card or a CNIB card.
You will need government-approved photo ID for proof of age as applicable (e.g. BC Seniors). You must check in with a foot passenger agent no later than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.
