Marriage licenses are available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm at all six County Clerk locations. Both applicants must be present to receive the license (with few statutory exceptions). In the State of Texas, a marriage license is valid for 90 days from the date issued.
If you have not taken the Twogether in Texas course, the fee for a formal Marriage license is $82.00, if you have taken the course the fee is $22.
3. Can I get married on the same day I purchase my marriage license? Texas law requires that the marriage ceremony may not be performed during the 72 hours immediately after the marriage license was issued; however, there are certain exceptions to the 72-hour waiting period.
