The South Dakota Retirement System (SDRS) is a 401(a) defined benefit pension plan that provides retirement, survivor, and disability benefits for South Dakotas public employees.
The SDRS Supplemental Retirement 457 Plan is a deferred compensation plan available to members of SDRS. The State Investment Officer is responsible for selecting the investment options.
SDRS does not have loan or hardship withdrawal provisions. While you are an active, contributing member of SDRS, you cannot make withdrawals or borrow funds from your SDRS account. Your SDRS funds are only available for withdrawal if you terminate employment.
