What happened to Tufts health plan?

As of January 1, 2024, your current Tufts Health Plan will transition to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Participants will receive new member ID cards effective 1/1/2024 with the HPHC logo and new group and subscriber ID numbers.

Who did Tufts Health Plan merge with?

Merger Between Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care are now combined into a single health and well-being organization: Point 32 Health.

Do employers in MA have to provide health insurance?

Is Tufts Health Plan going away?

Current members coverage will continue through December 31, 2025. Tufts Health Together and MassHealth will work closely to make sure members can continue receiving the services theyre eligible for through a new health plan as of January 1, 2026. Members do not need to take any action at this time.

What is the new name for Tufts Health Plan?

You can count on the same great plan Starting January 1, 2024, our Tufts Health Unify (Medicare-Medicaid) plan will be renamed Tufts Health One Care (Medicare-Medicaid) plan. Were proud to be one of the original One Care health plans in Massachusetts, and we want our name to reflect it!
