LA College Promise is for: High School Graduates! All first-time, full-time students are eligible for LA College Promise. Regardless of graduation date, as long as a student has not taken ANY credit-bearing college since graduating from high school, they are eligible.
Be classified as a resident of California or be a classified as a non-California resident eligible for tuition exemption AB 540 or AB 1899 (by Admissions and Records), have a T or U visa., or be a have a homeless youth determination from the Financial Aid Office at your college.
Academic Standing Academic - Sustain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. If your cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 for two consecutive primary terms (fall/spring semesters), you may lose your fee waiver eligibility. Progress - Complete more than 50% of your coursework. Combination of Academic and Progress Standards.
General Information. Once your FAFSA or CADAA is received by our office, we will process your CCPG within 3-5 business days. We CANNOT honor a waiver from another school. You must add MiraCosta Colleges federal school code (001239) to your FAFSA or Dream Act Application in order to receive the CCPG.
To be eligible for a Cal Grant, an applicant must: Apply prior to the March 2 deadline. Meet the satisfactory academic progress standards as determined by the institution the student is attending. Not have received a prior bachelors degree. Not be in default on a federal loan or owe a refund on a federal or state
