WorkSafeBC accepts our Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED C (Blended) course equivalent to WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1).
Red Cross Emergency First Aid, and Red Cross Standard First Aid are now officially recognized by Worksafe BC as equivalent to OFA 1.
While Red Cross Standard First Aid IS recognized by Worksafe BC as equivalent to an OFA 1 certification, this doesnt quite mean that they are the same. If a job requires Standard First Aid, an OFA 1 certification would NOT be acceptable.
Red Cross Emergency First Aid, and Red Cross Standard First Aid are now officially recognized by Worksafe BC as equivalent to OFA 1.
OFA Level 2 and 3 provides advanced level training for workplaces with larger numbers of employees and workplaces with a higher risk of injury. OFA Level 2 is a 36 hour training course and OFA Level 3 is a 70 hour training program.
