Parents are required to file a Certificate of Enrollment annually by September 15 to their local school attendance officer for each homeschooled child between the ages of 6 and 17. Beyond this, the state imposes no strict curriculum requirements, standardized testing, or progress evaluations.
You must submit a Letter of Intent each year for every homeschooled child. This letter notifies NYC Public Schools of your intent to homeschool. Email the Letter of Intent and required documents to letterofintent@schools.nyc.gov .
Requirements will vary by state, however most states require that you submit a notice of intent to homeschool to any school district in your state. The notice must be sent for any student between the ages of 6 and 16, including children who will be 6 by August 1st.
Families choosing to homeschool their children must submit an Intent to Homeschool form to the Arkansas Department of Education annually. There are no requirements regarding instruction time, required subjects, or record keeping. Parents do not need to be certified or hold a high school diploma.
Elementary School: 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Middle School: 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. High School: 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
