You may park in a parking space marked with the international wheelchair symbol. You may park at a parking meter free-of-charge for double the maximum time allowed after which you must pay to park and not exceed the paid-for time.
Disability parking placards, permits, or tags from DC or any state allow you to: Park in any parking space designated for a disabled person. Park for double the posted time in any metered spaces (unless prohibited by DDOTs Red Top Meter Program)
Red Top Meters These meter spaces are reserved for use by individuals with disability placards and tags and are programmed to accept payment for up to four hours.
