Based on eSignature regulations, forms approved electronically have the same validity as those approved with pen and paper. You can electronically sign almost any business and personal documentation. Four types of documents still require handwritten signatures only - wills and testamentary trusts, court orders and other court forms, state statutes governing divorce, adoption, or other family law, and notice of cancellation of utility services. If you follow the rules and use a secure and compliant software solution, like DocHub, you can eSign your usports letter of intent without printing it.

When you edit your loi registry with DocHub, you simply will not need to look for other software or services to eSign it. An electronic signature is a component of DocHub’s substantial editing toolset, which allows you to implement changes in your form without switching between websites. Simply complete your form, double-check the correctness of the information and place your electronic signature at the end to make it submission-ready within a few minutes.

A letter of intent (also known as an LOI) is often written to initiate a business transaction and help define expectations with customers, partners, and vendors before creating a binding agreement.
The National Letter of Intent (NLI) is a document used to indicate a student athletes commitment to participating in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) colleges and universities in the United States.
The Letter of Intent (LOI) is a national initiative designed to reduce and limit recruiting pressures on prospective student-athletes, educate prospective student-athletes on the most applicable U SPORTS regulations, and assist coaches in recruiting efforts.

An athlete who does not fulfill his or her NLI agreement traditionally must sit out one season of competition at the next school they attend. Following a committee review of NLI policy, the Collegiate Commissioners Association will not penalize an athlete who requests a release due to a head-coaching change.
The NLI is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and a university or college. A prospective student-athlete agrees to attend the university or college full-time for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters).
Until recently, student-athletes had little leeway with their commitments after they signed with a school. Eliminating the NLI allows for more flexibility and doesnt tie a student down to a university for a full year as it did before.
