Issued by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), formerly the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), the OEC is mandatory for all OFWs departing the Philippines for work purposes, except for certain exempted categories such as balik-manggagawa (returning workers) who may qualify for an Overseas Workers
ISSUANCE OF OVERSEAS EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE (OEC) All departing OFWs, whether new hires or Balik Manggagawa are required to secure an Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs) which shall serve as exit clearance and as exemption from payment of travel tax and airport terminal fee.
All OFWs are advised to apply thru the website .idole.dole.gov.ph. You can now log-in, create an account and apply for the OFW ID by putting your latest and valid Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) Number. Please note that the iDOLE ID Card can only be claimed at POEA Main Offices in Manila, Davao and Cebu.
