The MPJE is a 2.5-hour exam composed of 120 computer-based questions. The exam uses adaptive technology to deliver selected-response questions. The exam results will be reported as pass or fail, and candidates are allowed 5 attempts per jurisdiction to pass the exam.
To retake the NAPLEX or MPJE, candidates must begin the application process again, including paying the application and examination fees. Eligibility must be approved by a board of pharmacy. Candidates must adhere to the waiting period after which they will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT).
