What are covers in the navy?
Covers are the Navys term for a head covering, i.e a hat or cap. Regs require they worn when not under cover, i.e. outside, regardless of where the ship is.
Is a CUI banner mandatory?
The overall classification of the document must appear at the top and bottom of any cover, title page, first page, and last page of the document. Cover sheets are required with classified documents, (i.e., Form SF-703, Top Secret Cover Sheet; Form SF-704, Secret Cover Sheet; and Form SF-705, Confidential Cover Sheet).
Is a CUI coversheet required?
In addition, the cover sheet can be used to protect the document from unauthorized access and observation at any time, but it is not a requirement if the documents are at your desk or in your office. If using a cover sheet, you must use the official form (SF 901), with one exception.
