Does cerakote void the Leupold warranty?

However, every one we have spoken to including Leupold, Sig Sauer, and Vortex has told us that as long as a problem is not a direct result of the Cerakote process (spray on the lens, for example) it does not affect the warranty. If you have concerns, please contact your manufacturer directly.

You dont need proof of ownership or a warranty card, and theres no time limit.

How does lifetime warranty work?

The difference with Vortex is their warranty. Technically, Leupold has the same warranty. However, the difference between theirs and Vortexs is, in my experience (dealt with both companies warranty) Vortex is much easier and much faster to deal with. Obviously, in a perfect world, youd never need to use a warranty.
