This award is intended for first-time college students. To receive the scholarship, you must have attempted no more than 11 hours of college credit following high school graduation, and be entering The University of Mississippi for the first time (excluding Summer programs).
Students whose parents are graduates of the University of Mississippi are eligible to receive a Non-Resident Alumni Award. This award will pay between $6,000-$8,000 per parent, per year and is renewable for up to 8 semesters total.
Full admission to Mississippi State will be granted to high school graduates who complete the CPC with one of the following: A minimum 3.20 grade-point average (GPA) on the CPC. A minimum 2.50 GPA on the CPC and a composite score of 16 or higher on the ACT or the equivalent SAT score.
Full-ride academic scholarship: Be at the top of your class with a great GPA, take AP/honors classes, and get perfect (or close to perfect) SAT or ACT scores. Along with academic merit, it also helps to also have leadership skills or community involvement, too (see below).
