Eligibility Requirements To apply for an internship with UNHCR, candidates must meet the following criteria: Be a recent graduate* or a current student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program from a university accredited by UNESCO.
Can you be a United Nations intern? Are you enrolled in a Masters or in a Ph. D. programme, or in the final year of a Bachelors programme; or within one year after graduation from a Bachelors, Masters or Ph.
Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of the Organization; and. Not have immediate relatives (father, mother, brother, or sister) working for UNHCR as a staff member on any contract type or as an affiliate at the time of application.
How many applications are received and how many interns get accepted each session? Im told there is over 3,000 applications for each session of which around 250 are accepted at different stages of each session. So success rate is below 10%. That shouldnt discourage you though.
