What is the CN22 form?
A CN22 form is a specific type of customs declaration used for international shipments of goods valued at up to 425 and weighing less than 2 kilograms. The CN22 form is less detailed than the CN23 form. Often, it is attached to the address side of the parcel in the form of a sticker.
Do I need a CN22 for the USA?
Yes, you need to complete a full and accurate CN22/23 form, along with electronic customs data, when sending items with a retail or intrinsic value (like gifts, commercial samples, goods for sale, returned goods, etc.) to a country outside the UK. The only exception is personal correspondence.
Where can I get a CN22 form?
All Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide custom forms are available in Post Office branches. Remember to keep the details you need to fill it in handy.
What is the difference between CN22 and CN23 form?
The CN22 is a simpler form than the CN23. It is generally a sticker that you can attach to the side of the parcel (alongside the shipping label). You will therefore need a CN23 declaration form when the package weighs more than 2KG and/or has a value higher than 270.
