Select Add Margins and Padding to change or add white spaces. You can define margins to each side of the page Top, Bottom, Left and Right. Once you indicate the preferred margin size (in inches) in every side, a preview of your margin will be shown.
In the Page Tab you will find the option for Margin. This option opens a dropdown providing common margin sizes. You can select one of these to update the margin. You can also create custom margins for your pages.
Click on the Edit option and customize the margins. Go to the Close More Settings option and add the measurement of the margins in the given fields for Up, Down, Left, and Right margins. Click on Print to print your PDF with a margin.
As a general rule of thumb, I use 1 cm margins when producing pdfs.
This measurement may not be accurate for margins setting. Open the PDF document using the docHub Reader software. Click the Tools tab on the toolbar and select Measure. In the secondary toolbar, click Measuring Tool. Use the Distance Tool to measure the margins of the page.
To crop PDF pages, we need pdfcrop and pdfjam, which on Debian-based distributions are included in the extra utilities of the TeX Live distribution. We also need pdfinfo to get the page size of a PDF and pdfunite to merge PDF files. Both are provided by the poppler-utils package.
