Is grade forgiveness worth it?
If a grade forgiveness request is approved, the original course still will appear on the students official transcript, but will not earn credit or count towards the students term or cumulative GPA.
Does grade forgiveness help GPA?
No. Grade forgiveness completely wipes out the first grade from your GPA. However, it still shows your original grade on your transcript so when you apply to jobs they can see you retook it.
How does grade forgiveness work in the USF?
USFs Grade Forgiveness policy permits Undergraduate and Non-Degree students only to repeat a course and have the repeated grade and hours earned computed in his/her GPA in place of the original grade and hours earned, providing the repeat grade is D or higher (exception see Honors at Graduation).
