What is PGE NEM2?

Net Energy Metering Aggregation (NEM2A) Accounts have to be located on the same property as the renewable generator or on properties adjacent or contiguous to it. All of the properties have to be solely owned, leased or rented by the same customer of record who is listed on the PGE bill.

What is the NEM tariff?

Under NEM tariffs, participating customers receive bill credits for excess generation that is exported to the electric grid during times when it is not serving onsite load.

What is the difference between NEM 1 and NEM 2?

If you already have solar under a NEM 2.0 agreement, youre covered for 20 years from the original date you received permission to operate.

How does pge nem 2.0 work?

Under net metering, self-generators earn credits for the excess electricity their system provides to the grid. Under NEM 2.0, net metering policies have a one-to-one offset, meaning the price of a kWh supplied to the grid is equal to the price of pulling a kWh off the grid. NEM 3.0 will change this price ratio.
