TAPS services are available to anyone who is grieving the death of someone who served in the U.S. armed forces, regardless of the relationship to the deceased. This includes spouses, children, parents, siblings, extended family members, battle buddies, and friends.
Installation TAP offices provide personal help for transitioning service members and their spouses for up to 180 days after separation or retirement, including one-on-one support, resources, needs assessments and referrals.
InTransition program If you need access to mental health care during your transition, this DOD program provides free and confidential specialized coaching. It is available to all active-duty service members, all reserve component members, veterans and retirees regardless of length of service or discharge status.
