There are different levels and types of SERE training. Currently there are three levels of training. Level A is introductory training and includes Code of Conduct classes. Level B is focused on code of conduct, survival, evasion, and resistance but is mostly academic in nature.
All Reconnaissance Marines receive advanced training in survival escape resistance evasion (SERE), low level static line (LLSL) parachuting, military freefall parachuting, and combatant diving.
The SERE training courses are typically taught at three levels - A, B, and C. Level-A is the basic or entry-level. This is an introduction to the Code of Conduct that all Airmen receive in either Basic Military Training or Officer Training School. Level-B is required for Airmen with a higher risk of capture.
