SLED serves as the central repository for all criminal records in South Carolina and can provide detailed in-state criminal histories. Criminal history record screening costs $25 per search as defined by law.
How far back does a background check go in SC?
Civ. Code 1786.18(a)(7), California mandates that a conviction cant be reported when its older than seven years. Arrests that didnt lead to convictions cant be reported regardless of how much time has elapsed.
What will disqualify you on a background check?
For example, some candidates may have a failed background check because of their credit history, and others may fail because of a criminal conviction, suspended drivers license, or positive drug test.
