Do not use CIDEX OPA or MetriCide OPA Plus Solution beyond the manufacturer-recommended use-life of 14 days regardless of the test strip results. DISINTEK OPA Test Strips should only be used with CIDEX OPA or MetriCide OPA Plus Solution.
Glutaraldehyde-free (0.55% ortho-phthalaldehyde) high-level disinfecting solution.
CIDEX OPA is different from CIDEX Activated Dialdehyde Solution. CIDEX Activated Dialdehyde Solution uses glutaraldehyde as the disinfectant while CIDEX OPA uses ortho-phthalaldehyde. Bladder cancer patients are more sensitive to ortho-phthalaldehyde.
