The Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Program is available to graduates of any eligible high school in the state and is based on academic performance. To be eligible, students must receive at least a 21 on their ACT or a 1060 on the SAT or have a 3.0 or above GPA.
HOPE Scholarship requires a minimum 3.0 calculated HOPE GPA at each Checkpoint to maintain eligibility. Checkpoint at the end of every Spring term when the scholarship is received any term during the aid year.
You must maintain continuous enrollment at an eligible postsecondary institution. Discontinuing enrollment from an eligible postsecondary institution to enroll at an ineligible postsecondary institution will cause you to permanently lose your HOPE Scholarship eligibility.
In-State Students: you could attend UT tuition-free! As the public land grant flagship university, we want to make sure all Tennesseans have access to a college education. UT offers a few full tuition and mandatory fees scholarships to make your dreams a realitywithout worrying about cost!
Amounts for the HOPE Scholarship are up to $4,500 per year (Fall/Spring total) for freshman and sophomore students, and up to $5,700 per year (Fall/Spring total) for junior and senior students. In some cases, HOPE Scholarship can also be available in the summer semester.
