Old Boise Historic District. On July 7, 1863, three days after the establishment of the fort by the United States Army, the first Boise townsite was platted consisting of ten blocks, five on each side of Main Street, extending from what is now called 5th Street to 10th Street.
The Warm Springs Historic District is an established residential area with large homes and mature trees. The ninety-six residential structures included in the District date from the 1870s through the 1930fs, with the majority having been built in the period 1890-1920.
The 2025 DC Historic Preservation Plan sets forth a vision and goals to guide ongoing preservation efforts in the District. The Plan establishes a guide for both HPO programs and community preservation activities.
