Costs and grant amounts The grant is a standard amount of 2 000 000 SEK per year. The grant may be used to fund costs relating to the researchers relocation to Sweden, such as moving expenses, rent of housing, travel between Sweden and the home country, and some research expenses caused by the relocation.
An adjunct lecturer is typically hired on a part-time or temporary basis to teach specific courses or supplement the existing faculty.
Postdoctoral fellow research associates receive annual stipends and health insurance. Appointments can be renewed annually for up to five years. A visiting research scholar is someone with a terminal or first professional degree or the equivalent, or is someone recognized as an expert in their field.

Visiting student researchers (VSRs) are applicants who are currently enrolled in a degree program and are working to obtain a degree. Generally, VSRs must hold a minimum of a Bachelors Degree or its equivalent. VSR positions are not compensated. VSRs primary purpose on campus is to conduct research.
Visiting Student Researchers must be registered as Non-Matriculated Graduate Students. They are charged a registration fee of $1,324/month (for the 2024-2025 academic year). There is no prorating of the fee, so corresponding the start and end dates of the appointment with the quarter start and end dates is important.
A Visiting Scholar is generally a Professor of Law at another institution; a Visiting Researcher is generally someone who is working towards a graduate degree or doing postgraduate work at another institution.
