If you move and have net metering credits on your bill, you can submit a final Schedule Z form before your account closes to transfer the credit balance to other Eversource accounts, including the new account youre moving to if it is located in Eversources service territory.
How does Schedule Z work in Massachusetts?
The host customer must fill out a form called Schedule Z to let the electric company know which account(s) the net metering credits should go to. A host customer may change Schedule Z no more than 4 times in one calendar year, unless there is a mutual agreement to change it more often.
Can you sell solar power back to the grid in Massachusetts?
