The Connecticut Vaccine Program (CVP) is Connecticuts expanded pediatric vaccination program. The CVP is state and federally funded (through the VFC Program) and provides vaccines at no cost to all children under the age of 19 years, regardless of insurance status. The CVP was developed in response to CGS Sec.
The law exempts children from school immunization requirements if the child presents a (1) Department of Public Health (DPH) medical exemption form and (2) signed letter from a physician, physician assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse stating that such immunization is medically contraindicated.
