The Young Eagles is a program created by the US Experimental Aircraft Association designed to give children between the ages of 8 and 17 an opportunity to experience flight in a general aviation airplane while educating them about aviation. The program is offered free of charge with costs covered by the volunteers.
If youre between the ages of 8-17, youre eligible to fly as part of our Young Eagles program. Established in 1992, volunteer pilots have flown more than 2 million Young Eagles in 90 countries around the world.
Register for a Young Eagles flight using EAAs online registration tool. CONTACT AN EAA CHAPTER: Select your state (or country) from the drop-down menu below and search for the nearest local Young Eagles coordinator to you.
WHAT DOES IT COST? The Young Eagles program will cost upwards of $70.00. $70 is the program entry fee which includes a Polo Shirt, Logbook Card, YE Badge, membership card and lanyard. Your local Aero Club may have additional costs to cover activities, flight training and cost-sharing of flights.
