What is the Junior Volleyball Association? The JVA is an association of Junior Club Directors and Coaches who are dedicated to all facets of junior volleyball and have a desire to offer the best programming possible to their members.
ELITE LEVEL VOLLEYBALL Elite teams travel and compete against the best clubs in the country. They practice six hours a week and potentially more. They will compete in PVL and/or SCVA tournaments throughout the season, and have a goal of qualifying for the Junior Olympics.
Club Volleyball or often called JO volleyball (Junior Olympic Volleyball), is a competitive program that trains athletes in the sport of volleyball so they can continue their skill development and compete locally and/or nationally following the normal school season.
Club volleyball is a national developmental program for boys and girls 4 -18 years old. Club Volleyball involves specialized training and advanced, experienced coaches. Clubs are comprised of girls and boys from senior, middle, and elementary schools from a specific geographical area.
For the purpose of competition at the national level, AAU volleyball divisions are ranked as follows: Open Division: Highest level of competition. Club Division: Middle level of competition. Classic Division: Lowest level of competition.
