What is workforce orientation in Texas?
The Workforce Orientation for Applicants (WOA) is a special class to introduce people to the services offered by Workforce Solutions offices. If youre applying for TANF, you must attend this orientation. The exception is if the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) says you dont have to.
How long does workforce orientation take?
Most of the time, orientation wont last more than a full day. However, depending on your industry and the needs of your company, you might need multiple days to introduce new hires to everything they need for the job. In some cases, covering all the safety procedures may take up to a week.
