The Maximum Time Frame policy is a component of good academic standing, or Satisfactory Academic Progress. All students who will exceed the Maximum Time Frame must submit a Maximum Time Frame Exception appeal to continue in their program.
The federal government defines the maximum timeframe as 150% of your programs published length, as measured in credit hours. For example, a typical degree requires 63 credits which would result in a maximum timeframe of 94.5 credit hours (63 x 150%).
A SAP appeal may be based on undue hardship when the failure to make satisfactory academic program is caused by the death of a relative of the student, severe personal injury or illness of the student, or other special circumstances determined by the school.
