Disabled parking placards entitle Veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities to park in any disabled parking space and exempt them from the payment of a fee or penalty imposed by a governmental unit for parking at a meter.
The form can be obtained at the states Department of Finance and Administration. The form must be submitted to the state revenue office at the special license unit, along with the applicants Social Security number and drivers license or state identification.
Qualified disabled veterans are eligible for disabled veteran license plates. However, only disabled veteran license plates and placards with the International Symbol of Access (ISA) are permitted to park in disabled parking spaces.
Lost placard/replacement Individuals who wish to obtain a duplicate placard must complete and sign the application for replacement disability access license plate and/or placard. The form can then be submitted to the county licensing office.
The cost of a replacement placard is $5.00 per. The customer must complete a new application but a doctors recertification is not required. 3. Permanent mobility impaired license plates expire each year or every other year.
