An Inspected Vessel is one inspected by the Coast Guard and that has been issued a Certificate of Inspection. Vessels require a USCG inspection when theyre carrying more than six paying passengers. Once the vessel has been inspected and approved by the inspector, a CG-841 - Certificate of Inspection is issued.
In times of emergency or critical operational need, an Auxiliarist may receive verbal orders from a Coast Guard unit to proceed on a mission within U.S. waters. You should write down the assigned Travel Order Number (TONO). Reimbursable orders also will be issued for deployments.
In the USCG Auxilary, we do not have Ranks we have Offices. Officer positions come in two types: Appointed officers - Appointed at the leisure of the chain-of-command, and denoted by a RED A on their insignia.
In the event a member desires to terminate membership in the Auxiliary, a letter or form ANSC 7035 requesting disenrollment should be submitted by the member to the FC with the Auxiliary membership card attached.
