The RWC building has a 9,300 square foot cardio floor equipped with a variety of machines including: recumbent and upright bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, total body ellipticals, lower body ellipticals, steppers, and arc trainers.
A majority of the comprehensive and credible personal trainer certifications take at least 3 months of coursework, study, and final exams. In general, to become a certified personal trainer you will need to commit to at least 3 6 months of study including practical training sessions.

The UCF Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) comprises many programs, such as intramural sports, sport clubs, outdoor adventure, fitness and aquatics. The RWC is open to all students; paid memberships are available for non-students.
You dont have to do a degree to become a PT, but you need a Level 2 certificate in Gym Instructing and a Level 3 diploma in Personal Training (these can often be combined into one course). You can also do a Level 4 course, but it isnt compulsory.
Do you need a license to be a personal trainer in California? Having a personal training certification is not mandatory in California, however, it will improve your job prospects greatly. A majority of employers in California will prefer to hire certified personal trainers from NCCA accredited institutions.

Our Personal Training services are provided at both RWC Main Campus and RWC @ Downtown! All RWC Personal Trainers are certified through nationally accredited agencies such as: ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NASM, and the NSCA.
