What happens when you go on WSIB?

If your work-related injury or illness causes you to lose earnings, we will provide income replacement benefits. If we determine that you cant work because of your work-related injury or illness, or you can only safely return to work for less pay, we may pay you up to 85 per cent of your pre-injury take-home pay.

How long do you have to file a WSIB claim in Ontario?

You have six months from the date of injury or date of diagnosis to claim benefits by reporting your injury or illness to the WSIB.

What is a Form 8 for WSIB?

Health Professionals Report (Form 8) Section 37 of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act provides the legal authority for health care practitioners, hospitals and health facilities to submit, without consent, information relating to someone claiming benefits to the WSIB.
