Waukesha County Park System is an 8,500-acre, natural resources-based system. Some parks and lake access sites require a daily permit or annual membership for access. A portion of these fees helps us maintain parkland. Retzer Nature Center does not require an entrance fee.
Minooka Park is a county park that requires either a visiting fee ($5) or a annual pass $32, or 2 for $50). Its the largest park in Waukesha County with a small pond/lake for swimming, multiple trails for hiking of cross-country skiing.
Vehicles: Parks annual membership or daily permit is required for all vehicles upon entry to Park grounds. Required: Dogs must be leashed (6-ft. max)*. Electronic leashes or collars are not considered a leash.
How do I purchase a Daily Permit or Annual Park Entrance Sticker? Park Admission can be purchased online at .waukeshacounty.gov/parkentry. The pay tanks at the parks and lake access sites are no longer be in use.
