From 1 April 2021 the domestic RHI tariffs are as follows: Air source (air to water) heat pumps 10.92p/kWh (with a heat demand limit of 20,000kWh per annum) Biomass boilers 7.01p/kWh (with a heat demand limit of 25,000kWh per annum) Ground source heat pumps 21.29p/kWh (with a heat demand limit of 30,000kWh per annum)
How payments are calculated For a simple system. Payments are calculated by multiplying the appropriate tariff by the amount of eligible heat generated in the relevant quarterly period. For a complex system. For a standard system. For a multiple system.
Not everyone needs to metering and you should read the Essential Guide first to check if you do. If you only have a solar thermal installation, you dont need to read this document as your installation doesnt need to be metered.
The domestic RHI payments are calculated taking into consideration three major factors: Your propertys annual heating and hot water demand. Your heating systems Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) Current RHI tariffs.
The DRHI is open to all households, on and off the gas grid, who have installed a renewable heating system and meet the eligibility criteria. People who join and follow the scheme rules receive quarterly payments over seven years for clean, green, renewable heat their systems are estimated to produce.
