There are two different filing fees required to file or begin a proceeding in small claims court: The filing fee for a claim of up to and including $500.00 is $47.50. The filing fee for filing a claim from $500.01 to $4000.00 is $67.50.
Make filings with the clerk in the following manner: In person: Clerks office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding holidays. By Mail: Mail paperwork to the small claims office. By Drop Box: A drop box is located directly in front of the Sedgwick County Courthouse.
