How is a truant defined? Florida law defines habitual truant as a student who has 15 or more unexcused absences within 90 calendar days with or without the knowledge or consent of the students parent or guardian, and who is subject to compulsory school attendance.

In order for an absence to be excused, the student must submit documentation within two school days of the absence to our attendance office. Students parents may contact our Attendance Clerk to report an absence by email or phone.
