Factors considered when computing such ratings include distance covered by the horse; weights carried by the horses respectively; and condition of the track among others. All these are important components used to determine RPRs position on any given animal.
RPR stands for Racing Post Rating and it is the Racing Posts rating for the horse adjusted for todays weights. So in theory in the opinion of the Racing Posts private handicapper the horse with the highest RPR should win the race.
R indicates a horse refused. BD indicates the horse was brought down by another runner. U or UR indicates that the horse unseated its jockey.
F indicates the horse fell. R indicates a horse refused. BD indicates the horse was brought down by another runner. U or UR indicates that the horse unseated its jockey.
